1. Who we are
TRUE FOODS is a brand of DRRK Foods Pvt. Ltd. (“DRRK Foods”, “we”, “us”) — the rice family behind Crown Basmati, milling honest grain since 1967. DRRK Foods Pvt. Ltd. is the data fiduciary for the personal data collected through this website.

2. What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- WhatsApp / mobile number (with the +91 country code)
- Date of birth
- Whether you opted in to marketing updates
We do not collect financial data, location data, or any sensitive personal data on this site.
3. Why we collect it
- To notify you when TRUE FOODS launches in your city
- To send you the early-bird perks you signed up for
- To send you a small surprise on your birthday
- To respond to questions you send us
The lawful basis for processing is your explicit consent (Section 6, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
4. How we store and share it
Waitlist signups are stored in a secured Google Sheet accessible only to authorised TRUE FOODS staff. Confirmation and update emails are sent via Resend, who acts as our data processor. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for ad-targeting.
5. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist data until the brand has launched and you have either (a) made a purchase or (b) explicitly asked to be removed. After 18 months of no activity, we will delete your record automatically.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you may at any time:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or update it
- Ask us to delete it (right to erasure)
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications
- Nominate someone to act on your behalf in case of incapacity

7. Cookies
We use only strictly-necessary first-party cookies and local storage required for the site to function. We do not run analytics, ad-tech or social-media trackers on this site.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change, and we'll email everyone on the waitlist if the change is material.
